Michael Hoerman is a poet from the Ozarks who joined the Ozark Poets and Writers

Collective in 1994. He is the author of Bad Rotten (2004) and Disoriented Fascination

(2018). Some of his more than 100 published poems first appeared in journals such as

the Arkansas Literary Forum, Big Muddy, Chiron Review, Eureka Literary Magazine,

Potomac Review, and The Rockhurst Review. His poems have also appeared in

anthologies from Soft Skull Press, Lavender Ink, Rattlecat Press, No-Tell Books, Red

Hen Press, and Redneck Press. Michael was a member of the first National Poetry

Slam teams from Arkansas and Missouri. He was the recipient of residencies from

Sedona Summer Colony and Spiva Center for the Arts, with three poems nominated for

the Pushcart Prize. He was selected by Thomas Lux for a 2004 Massachusetts Poetry

Fellowship awarded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
